Medina

Founded in 1818 and incorporated as a village in 1835, the City of Medina enjoys a long and rich history that is evident in the restored Victorian architecture of its picturesque Public Square. A visit to Medina's historic Square is like taking a step back in time, a feeling that attracts tourists and residents to its unique shops, fine restaurants, and many special events. Time, however, has not stood still and this bustling city serves as the county seat for one of the fastest growing counties in northeastern Ohio.

South Court Senior Villas was completed for occupancy in July 2018. There are 48-units with a mix of two-bedroom villas and a two-story building with one and two-bedroom units. All units will feature accessible energy efficient appliances.

There are also a variety of modern amenities including onsite management, a community room with a kitchenette for resident events, a business center with computer work stations, a theater room for resident entertainment and a fitness center, as well as outdoor living areas and a picnic shelter. The Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority manages the Home Place properties for their owner. The owner is going to liquidate the entire Home Place portfolio as each property becomes vacant. Therefore, we are no longer accepting applications for these properties and will no longer lease any new tenants.

One-Bedroom Units

All one-bedroom units at Santee Landing are for the sole purpose of serving the Ohio 811 Program. The Ohio 811 Program is a demonstration program administered by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA). This program allows extremely low-income households comprised of one or more adults with a disability to live in an integrated setting through rental subsidy and access to supportive services.

The 811 program is not available to the public. OHFA works with the Ohio Department of Medicaid, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services to place individuals eligible for community-based, long-term care services on a statewide waiting list for apartments.
